Desarrollar colecciones de recursos en español en las bibliotecas y centros de información.
Reclutar personas bilingües y biculturales para laborar en las bibliotecas.
Establecer una red de información y apoyo entre bibliotecas.
Educar a la comunidad hispanoparlante sobre los servicios bibliotecarios.
Otorgar becas para estudiantes de bibliotecologia y ciencias de la información.
OUR OBJECTIVES & GOALS
To promote the development of Spanish-language and Latino/Hispanic oriented library collections.
Support active recruitment of bilingual and bicultural library professional and paraprofessional staff.
Increase Latino/Hispanic awareness of available library services
and collections in both English and Spanish.
Advocate on behalf of the information needs of the Latino/Hispanic community.
Provide training and education for our members and those interested in serving Latinos and Spanish Speakers.
